I need hi-resolution band photos and album art, where can I obtain such things?

Why, in our Press Center you can get all those great things.

My band totally fucking rocks...
A. can I send you a demo?
B. why haven't you gotten back to me about our demo?
C. why don't you accept demos?
D. you suck.

A. We'd rather you not.
B. See A.
C. We really do appreciate the effort and are honored that you would want to work with us, but we're such a small label that it makes no sense for us to work with a band who we do not know on a personal level. That being said, we will most likely never release a record, or "sign" a band based on demo alone. To be honest, you should talk a friend of yours to release your records for you, or just do it yourself. You don't need a business degree or a trust-fund to be in the record label business. Check out Indie Centre, they have enough knowledge and experience to walk you step-by-step through the whole record label thing. If it wasn't for them we would not be where we are today.
D. Yes, we sure do!

I write for a magazine/online zine, blog, or some other form of media. Hook a brother up with an ad and some free CDs!

Gladly, all we ask is that we see a copy of your publication first. If you write for an online publication, be warned that we are very picky when it comes to online zines. Send us a link and we'll get back to you if we like it. Please don't get all pissy if we don't add you to our promo list, we have WAY too many zines, print and online, that we service and we just can't afford to add a whole lot more.

My college radio show is fucking great, why don't I get your records.

We have no fucking idea why, and stop swearing. We service way too many stations these days through various promotion companies, how about you email us and we'll figure out why you don't have our fine releases.

Are you hiring or looking for interns?

I wish we were hiring, but nope. Interns we could always use. You need to be in the Portland area, willing to work for free and like pugs. Email us if you are interested.

I am the coolest kid in the Freshman Dorm, can I join your Street Team?

No, we don't really have a street team, but we might soon. If you have a show in mind you are interested in helping with, please let us know.

Why doesn't my local hipster record store carry your records?

I don't know, have they talked to Caroline Distribution? Caroline distributes our fine records to stores all over the globe. Drop us a line and we will make sure they stock our wonderful releases.

What are your thoughts on downloading?

We're fine with it, but please be respectful. No one here is making much, if any, of a living off this music business thing and excessive downloading/burning isn't helping in that. We know you're probably just as poor as us, so if you can't afford the CD, please go support our bands when they tour.

Who runs this label?

Olive and Ezra. Interns too.

I run a European straight-edge hardcore label, want to trade some records?

No. (By the way, this is a very common question we get. I have no idea what I would do with a bunch of hardcore records from overseas. Maybe listen to them? Um, no.)

I work for a uber-congolmerate major label so can I get a free Velvet Teen or Crossitde CD?

Probably not. I wouldn't dare email you and ask for free Hoobastank CD, now would I?

Can you help my band get a show in Portland?

Maybe, email us and we'll point you in the right direction. We can't book it per se, but we'll give you some contacts on who to email and such.

Oh my god, I found a broken link or some other webpage-related mistake, who do I talk to about this???

Calmly email us and we'll take care of it all. Everything's going to be ok.
